Lynne Slocum - Member, Board of Directors
About 26 years ago, not long after she moved to Wolfeboro, a dear friend, Norma Pilkington, who served on the Board and as a volunteer driver, suggested that she might enjoy delivering for Meals on Wheels. Having just moved from Michigan, where she was a teacher, she was looking for volunteer opportunities in the area and this seemed to fit. Obviously, it was a great fit as she’s been driving for WAMOW ever since! She loves her associations with the clients, the WAMOW staff and the Huggins kitchen staff. She learned how very vital such a service is to those who need assurance of having a well-balanced meal. She hopes to continue for many more years.
